Coached by the STANFORD QUARTET

VENUES: ST MARYS CHURCH and rooms- BH19 1HU- and the UNITED REFORMED CHURCH and rooms- BH19 2NY- SWANAGE

All standards are welcome established quartets, and individuals can apply.

For players Grade V and above two pieces have been recommended:

MOZART: Divertmento No.3 in Fmajor and “All you need is love” (Beatles arranged by Jess Cox; this music will be provided.)

You may also bring your own choice of quartet music to study.

FRIDAY at 6.45 TEA/COFFEE and welcome in the SMALL HALL United Reformed Church

7.pm – 8.30coaching /rehearsing in allocated rooms

SATURDAY 10 – 10.30 am Stanford Quartet demonstrate set pieces in main church URC

Break 10.30 – 11.

11 - 12.30 coaching/rehearsing.

LUNCH 12.30 -1.30pm

1.30 – 3 Coaching / rehearsing

Break 3 – 3.30

3.30 – 4.30 coaching /rehearsing /play together.

SUNDAY 9-11 am 1/2 hour rehearsal for quartets in allocated rooms 11 - .11.30 am coffee/tea in the Rectory classroom..

11- 12.30 PERFORMANCE of prepared quartets (for course members only)

All course members will receive a MUSICIANS PASS to this concert and the awards reception.

4.30 – 5.30 Purbeck Strings INSTUMENT AWARDS and PERFORMANCES at a reception in the United Reformed Church large hall.

All course members; friends and sponsors are invited to this awards reception.
